The Lotte Giants continued their winning streak with a big inning.
Lotte won its fourth game of the season against the KIUM Heroes of the 2023 Shinhan Bank SOL KBO League 6-5 on Sunday at Gocheok Sky Dome. The bullpen gave up five runs in the bottom of the ninth inning, making it a tough game, but Lotte won its third 먹튀검증straight game.
The game was tied 0-0 through six innings. Lotte starter Charlie Barnes pitched a scoreless inning. However, the Lotte bats also failed to score a run against Kiwoom starter Choi Won-tae until the sixth inning.
The balance was broken after Kiwoom made a move in the bullpen. Kiwoom pulled Choi Won-tae, who pitched a scoreless sixth inning with three hits, six strikeouts and two walks, and brought in Kim Jae-woong for the seventh.
Lotte’s first batter in the seventh, Yoon Dong-hee, who came to bat in place of Ko Seung-min, grounded out to second base, but Noh Jin-hyuk followed with a pitcher’s choice and Han Dong-hee singled to left.
With runners on first and second, Yoo Kang-nam hit a timely double over the height of Lee Hyung-jong in right field and over the outfield fence to make it 1-0. Then, as if a blood vessel had been opened, the Lotte bats caught fire.
With runners on first and second, Ahn Kwon-soo hit a double to left-center field and stole second. The next batter, Kim Min-seok, grounded out to the first baseman, but Park Seung-wook doubled to center field and Jeon Jun-woo singled to center field to bring in another run.
Ahn Chi-hong singled up the middle to put runners on first and second, and one batter later, Yoon Dong-hee followed with a single to left to complete the six-run seventh inning. There were eight hits in the seventh inning alone. Seizing the opportunity, Lotte’s bats came together to send Kiwoom to its fourth straight loss.
