Jude Bellingham (20-Dortmund)안전놀이터 is close to announcing his move to Real Madrid.

“Bellingham has agreed a six-year contract with Real Madrid,” Spain’s Marca reported on 26 June. The final whistle of the 2022-2023 German Bundesliga season will sound on the 27th. Bellingham’s Dortmund are on course to win their first Bundesliga title in 11 years. Real Madrid are expected to announce the signing of Bellingham as early as next week, after the end of the Bundesliga.

Bellingham is England’s next ‘wallflower’ midfielder. English Premier League (EPL) clubs Manchester City, Liverpool, Manchester United, and Chelsea were all in the running for his signature, but he chose Real Madrid.

The former Birmingham City player moved to German Bundesliga side Dortmund in 2020. He made 42 appearances this season, scoring 14 goals and providing seven assists. In the Bundesliga, he scored eight goals and provided four assists in 31 games.

The highlight was the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. Born in 2003, he impressed fans around the world with his performances as a teenager.

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti is a big fan of Bellingham’s touch, vision and ability to break through. Real Madrid recently flew to Germany to finalise the signing of Bellingham.

Real Madrid offered Dortmund £87 million for the player. There were higher bids from EPL clubs, but Dortmund had an organic relationship with Real Madrid.

Real Madrid are hoping Bellingham can fill the shoes of the ageing Toni Kroos, 33, and Luka Modric, 38. They’re also hoping he can help them shake off the “pain” of winning only one competition this season, the Copa del Rey.

Real Madrid were beaten by Barcelona in La Liga this season and knocked out of the Champions League by Manchester City in the last four.
