The San Francisco Giants play at a special location메이저놀이터 associated with club legend Willie Mays.

Local media such as’San Francisco Chronicle’ and’The Athletic’ quoted sources on the 14th (Korean time) and reported that San Francisco will play a special game with the St. Louis Cardinals in the 2024 season at Rickwood Field in Birmingham, Alabama, USA.

The match will be held as a ‘Field of Dreams’ match. In the meantime, the game was held in a special stadium built in a corn field in Dyersville, Iowa, where the movie of the same name was filmed.

The game, which was well-received by nostalgia for the movie, was not held this season as construction of a field for youth and softball players was underway at the stadium.

Major League Baseball, which plans to revive the “Field of Dreams” game in 2024, is exploring various locations outside of Iowa to celebrate the league’s legacy. And Rickwood Field was chosen as the first target.

Built in 1910, the stadium is where Giants legend Mays played for the Birmingham Black Barons, a Negro League team. This is also why the Giants, whose home is San Francisco across the continent, were specially invited.
