The 2025 World Taekwondo Championships will be held in Wuxi토토사이트, Jiangsu Province, China.
The World Taekwondo Federation (WTF) announced on Monday that its Executive Board meeting in Baku, Azerbaijan, selected Wuxi, China, to host the 2025 World Taekwondo Championships.
“Wuxi received 14 of the 26 Executive Board votes, beating out Charlotte, North Carolina, USA; Sofia, Bulgaria; and Zagreb, Croatia,” the WTF said.
This will be the third time China has hosted the World Taekwondo Championships, including Hong Kong in 1997 and Beijing in 2007.
The World Taekwondo Championships are held every two years, starting with the first edition in Seoul in 1973, and the 2021 edition was moved to Guadalajara, Mexico, last year due to the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
The 2025 Youth World Taekwondo Championships will be hosted by the United Arab Emirates (UAE), which was the sole bidder.
Meanwhile, the WTF Executive Board also approved Namibia from the African continent as the 213th member.
